A vibrant and inclusive school in Northfield is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning through a personalized curriculum that meets the needs of all students. This full-time position will run until the end of the academic year.As a Teaching Assistant, you will primarily be based in the school’s special provision resource base, providing essential support to students with special educational needs. You will also work across various classes, supporting a diverse range of children throughout the school.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Promote social inclusion and encourage positive interactions among students.
  • Assist with personal care needs as required.
  • Collaborate with parents and professionals to ensure coordinated support.
  • Prepare and adapt learning resources to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Foster student independence and support their emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant or relevant background in SEN support.
  • Experience working with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and/or SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Level 1 Safeguarding certificate.
  • Recent and relevant references.
  • Valid photo ID (Driving Licence or Passport).
  • Full DBS check registered on the update service.
