ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Technologist, Team Lead position will function under the direction of the Laboratory Manager to assist with coordinating the technical day to day operations. This position will help to ensure a consistent leadership presence and establish a sustainable structure for the laboratory department. The Team Leader will serve as the subject matter expert in all technical areas of the laboratory.Job Title: Team Lead Medical Technologist, Laboratory ServicesClinic Location: The Woodlands, North Houston Campus, Springwoods VillageDepartment: Laboratory ServicesJob Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $70,204 – $86,731 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)QualificationsEducationRequired: Associates or Bachelor’s in a science related field of studyPreferred: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory ScienceExperienceRequired: 6 years’ of recent clinical laboratory experience in chemistry, hematology and urinalysisPreferred: 2 years in a supervisory role in a high complexity clinical laboratory settingLicense(s)Required: MLT/MT ASCP or equivalentValid driver’s licensePreferred: N/ASpecial SkillsRequired: Understanding of laboratory operations including policies and procedures.Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Systems skillsPreferred: N/AOtherRequired: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver organized and concisepresentations tailored to audience.Excellent time management skills- ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to efficiently manage laboperations at multiple sites.Effective leadership skills to include:
