That’s why we’re looking for someone talented, someone who wants to develop their skills, someone like you.We have a new exciting opportunity for a Technical Content Manager to join the CancerTools team and be responsible for writing compelling scientific marketing copy that showcases our products and services to the global cancer research community.About the teamCancerTools.org is the world’s largest non-profit technology transfer organisation dedicated exclusively to research reagents. It forms part of Cancer Research UK, the world’s largest independent cancer research funder, providing in excess of £350M grant funding annually. CancerTools.org is part of Cancer Research UK’s Commercial Partnerships team (formerly Cancer Research Technology) where it has partnered with and commercialises the research reagents of more than 180 universities, technology transfer offices and research organisations worldwide.What will I be doing?Generate scientifically accurate marketing collateral, case studies, whitepapers and web content, with search engine optimisation (SEO) in mind, to engage researchers for distribution across marketing channelsDefine brand voice, in-house writing style, value propositions and messaging aligned to our target audience of cancer researchers (academics, pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology and CROs)Work closely with a scientific marketing lead and product marketing team, to develop materials that align with current content focussed campaigns, and effectively communicate our value proposition to differentiate us from competitorsWork with the digital marketing team to generate brand level campaign content and PR releasesUpdate and optimise current marketing collateral, and in collaboration with marketing, identify new requirements to drive engagement and salesCollaborate with Graphic Design to ensure visually appealing, on-brand content with accurate data representationIdentify, collaborate and engage with relevant customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in cancer research fields to generate case studies and testimonialsWork with internal stakeholders, including the licensing and lab teams to identify opportunities for testimonials, reviews and data for inclusion in content to highlight our products and value proposition to academic and industry verticals.Stay up to date with scientific literature and developments across key cancer research areasThe ability to manipulate and use scientific data for visualisation across digital channelsWhat skills are we looking for?Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills with an eye for detail and accuracyProven experience in scientific writing and generating technical marketing content in life sciences or related fields, with SEO awarenessExemplary communication skills, and the ability to work pro-actively with internal teams and stakeholders to create content, gather and collate informationDemonstrable ability for organisation and managing multiple projects, working to tight deadlinesWorking knowledge of digital marketing channels and content distribution in life sciences or a related fieldPhD in a Life Science discipline or BSc/MSc with equivalent experience (cancer related fields preferred)Desirable:Research background in a cancer related field a plusDigital content experience in cancer related field a plusExperience in PR, and creating editorials for scientific news networksOur organisation values are designed to guide all that we do.Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determinationCredible: Act with rigour and professionalismHuman: Act to have a positive impact on peopleTogether: Act inclusively and collaborativelyWe’re looking for people who can believe in and embody these organisation values and can use them to drive forward progress against our mission to beat cancer.What will I gain?We create a working environment that supports your wellbeing and provide a generous benefits package, a wide range of career and personal development opportunities and high-quality tools.
