Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is an FHI 360 implemented global health initiative project funded by United States Government (U.S.G). FHI 360 is seeking applications from qualified Mozambicans for a Technical Director (TD) position for the EpiC Project in Mozambique, focused on improving, maternal, newborn, child health, immunization and nutrition outcomes by increasing use and access to high quality services.
The Technical Director (TD) will work under the supervision of the EpiC Project Director and will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to the implementation of the MNCH+N project in Mozambique. The TD establishes and continually refines MNCH+N technical frameworks, approaches, and tools; leads evidence-based technical assistance for programming; and ensures alignment with national and international health standards. The TD will work closely with FHI 360 global team, United States Government (USG) Department of State (DOS) personnel in Mozambique, implementing partners, and the Ministry of Health (MOH) to ensure timely development of workplans and monitor all technical aspects of the EpiC MNCH+N project from initiation through delivery. The TD also contributes to global thought leadership, supervises technical staff, and ensures that all technical activities meet donor, government, and FHI 360 requirements. The position will be based in Quelimane, Zambezia and will report to the EpiC Project Director in Maputo and have a working relationship with the FHI 360 Alcançar Technical Director.
