Objectives

To engage a skilled consultant to edit and format a 60-page technical document in French, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to Winrock’s style guidelines

 

Tasks

• Improve clarity and readability by streamlining the flow, simplifying wording, revising awkward phrases and sentences, fixing grammar errors, and changing passive verbiage to active voice, where appropriate.
• Enhance efficiency/save space by removing duplicate information, removing filler words and revising unnecessarily complicated sentences/paragraphs.
• Revise text to meet character limits.
• Improve organization by reordering sentences within paragraphs and/or suggesting solutions to identified organizational issues.
• Revise as necessary to ensure intended meaning of sentences is clear (querying Winrock representative if needed).
• Use consistent styles for spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc., in accordance with the Winrock style guidelines.
• Verify all citations and references for completeness and accuracy according to the specified Chicago citation style.
• Formatting: As needed, according to Winrock’s style guide and/or other provided templates.
