Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for Technical Experts on the anticipated USAID-funded Trade Integration and Competitiveness Activity in Vientiane, Laos. The position is contingent upon the activity’s award and USAID approval.

Position Description: The Activity will contribute to the cross cutting programmatic approaches in the USAID/Laos Strategic Framework (2023-2028): digitalization, private sector engagement, gender and inclusive development, and localization. The goal outcomes: Responsible and sustainable trade and investment environment increased, sustainable employment creation increased in focused value chains, and regional integration advanced.

These potential short-term positions will be based in Laos. For all positions working knowledge of English, experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, knowledge of MS Office applications, and commitment to gender equity and social inclusion are required.

Technical Experts in fields including:

* Business enabling environment policy (dialogue-driven).
* Inclusive MSME competitiveness and investment readiness.
* Business development services.
* Access to finance for MSMEs.
* Economic empowerment and workforce development.
* Trade facilitation and promotion.
* Digital trade and market information systems.

These potential short-term positions will be based in Laos. For all positions working knowledge of English, experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, knowledge of MS Office applications, and commitment to gender equity and social inclusion are required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

* Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is required.
* Minimum five (5) years of experience in Laos in the respective field of technical expertise.
* Experience on USAID or other donor-funded projects preferred but not required.
* Professional proficiency in Lao required and English strongly preferred.
* Laotian nationals and especially women are strongly encouraged to apply.
