We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong background in AI and data platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in driving large-scale technology programs, managing cross-functional stakeholders, mitigating risks, and translating complex technical and business requirements into executable plans. A customer-centric mindset and strong business acumen are essential for aligning technology solutions with strategic business goals.

These working hours will include 10 am EST/ 7 am PST through 6 pm EST / 3 pm PST

Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership: Lead and drive the execution of complex AI and data platform programs from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Executive Leadership. Facilitate clear communication and alignment across stakeholders at all levels.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues. Implement contingency plans to address potential blockers and escalations.
• Requirements Gathering: Translate high-level business and user requirements into detailed technical requirements. Work closely with technical teams to ensure feasibility, scalability, and alignment with architectural standards. This is not the prioritizing of the Product Management roadmap, but ensuring proper technical implementation and advancement of the Databricks and supporting platforms.
• Project Execution & Agile Delivery: Use Jira and other project management tools to manage backlogs, sprints, and releases. Facilitate agile ceremonies, ensure velocity tracking, and drive continuous improvement across teams.
• Business & Customer Focus: Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure technical solutions are usable, impactful, meet requirements, and deliver measurable value. Customer focused mindset to serve your internal stakeholders and collaborate with key departments and team members.
• Data & AI Platform Expertise: Collaborate with data engineers and ML/AI teams to deliver scalable data pipelines, data governance solutions, and AI infrastructure that supports product and operational needs.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of technical program or project management experience, preferably in data and AI platform environments.
• Proven experience working with large-scale distributed systems, cloud data platforms, or machine learning infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle, including ingestion, processing, storage, governance, and AI/ML model deployment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with executive leadership and technical teams.
• Deep experience writing and managing detailed business system and technical requirements.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other project management and collaboration tools.
• Strong risk management, decision-making, and prioritization skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to balance technical trade-offs and business goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with strict data privacy and compliance requirements.
• Leading programs focused on software/platform architecture, cloud platforms, ML and LLM, and data technology, bonus points for experience with Databricks.
• Training or certification in Project Management and/or Agile practices.

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to bean annual salary of $170,000 to $185,000.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
