Overview:
The Radioisotope Science and Technology Division (RSTD) of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) seeks applications for a Technical Project Support and Information Management Specialist. ORNL is the largest US Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. Supporting the largest radioisotope production and research portfolio within the Department of Energy Isotope Program, RSTD uses the unique facilities at ORNL to produce and study radioactive materials with applications in medicine, science, national security and industry. Work in RSTD takes place in specialized nuclear and radiological facilities, including radiological fume hoods, gloveboxes, and heavily shielded hot cells.
The Technical Project Support and Information Management Specialist plays a major role in technical project planning, reporting, and information management. Reporting to the RSTD Director, you will provide division-wide support for the strategic advancement of research and development on the production, applications, and fundamental properties of radioisotopes. You will ensure that knowledge and information is properly captured, reviewed, controlled, and disseminated by technical projects. You will work closely with all RSTD line and program management to develop and maintain information systems and capabilities to support organizational, program, and project objectives.
