My client is a leading manufacturer of thermocouples and high temperature sensors and measurement equipment based in Sheffield. They are now looking to hire an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to bolster their in-house team. The ideal candidate will come from a proven Technical Sales background, have experience in both winning new business and nurturing key accounts, be capable in producing estimations and quotations and will ideally have existing thermocouple / temperature sensor knowledge.Technical Sales Engineer Job Overview

• Building and maintaining relationships with a range of customers
• Identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions and accurate quotations
• Developing proposals, including cost estimations and technical documentation
• Providing in-depth technical guidance on company products
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, both as pre- and post-sales support functions
• Maintaining comprehensive records of customer interactions, solutions offered and sales progress.

Technical Sales Engineer Job Requirements

• Previous experience in Technical Sales is essential
• Knowledge of Engineering standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and AMS 2750
• Strong negotiation, Customer engagement and account management skills
• Proficient in delivering presentation and product demonstrations
• A familiarity with using a CRM system as well as Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial
• Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield

Technical Sales Engineer Salary & Benefits

• Salary £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
• 33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays
• Monday – Thursday 08:15 – 16:45, Friday 08:15 – 14:15
• Pension
