Technical Service Representative

Job Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, safetyminded Technical Service Representative to support Electric Rope Shovel repairs at customer mine sites-primarily in the Safford & Morenci area. You’ll spend your days troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on electric rope shovels, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with major capital rebuilds and overhauls.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Electric rope shovel troubleshooting, inspection and audit teams.
• Accurately report machine condition, repair/maintenance recommendations, time to repair/service.
• Facilitate development of maintenance strategies that promote safety, system reliability, and the reduction of unplanned down time.
• Assist electricians with installations and wiring of electric rope shovels.
• Effectively communicate to Customer Supervisors, Managers, Internal Employees, Engineering and Product Support on any customers needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be proficient at using Computers.
• Must be able to connect monitoring devices to analyze signals and interpret data that we will be gathering at any given time.
• Must be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory and in the Electrical Field.
• Understand how circuits work and how to read and understand Electrical Schematics.
• Must be able to safely work in a Team Environment for the betterment of Komatsu Mining.
• Must be prepared to perform Root Cause Analysis on failures and effectively draft reports for customers, internal personnel and Product Support.
• Must have great communication skills in person, on the phone and on a computer.
