Tesla is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Tesla Energy Team in Hayward, CA. You willmanagetechnical contentforvarious TeslaEnergyproducts,enabling service technicians tomeet Tesla’s standardsthroughaccurate, accessible,andstreamlined documentation.In this role,you’llfocus onensuring safety-related content isaccurate, up-to-date, and available in multiple languages, enabling safeinstallation and servicing of Tesla Energy products across the globe.

As the bridge between global technicians and the larger-scale, global service network, you will need to develop a strong understanding of how Tesla’s energy products work. By using in-house tools, partnering with engineers from service, quality, and design, and working collaboratively with diagnostics, training, technical operations, and other teams, you will contribute to the growth and acceleration ofvarious products such asMegapacks and Superchargers.

• Communicate and collaborate with subject matter experts (engineers, technicians, and product managers) to build strong working relationships and gather information

• Understand technical problems and communicate them effectively to non-technical people

• Craft and drive strategy for safety-related content in documentation

• Validateinformation for accuracy and use a routing and review process for document approval

• Edit content according to a style guide and enforce organization standards

• OptimizecontentforAI parsingby implementing consistent structure, adding metadata,and consistently updating content for accuracy

• Migrate content to new templatesand platforms

• Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration software (such as JIRA, SharePoint, and custom databases)
