I. ABOUT NONVIOLENT PEACEFORCE
Nonviolence Peaceforce (NP) is a nonpartisan international organization globally recognized for its Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP) strategies in preventing violence, increasing safety and security of civilians, and strengthening local peace infrastructures across its programme locations. Presently, NP has country programme operations in South Sudan, Myanmar, Iraq, and the Philippines.
NP has been present in Mindanao, Philippines for 14 years working and living within the conflict-affected areas and being the first international NGO tasked to monitor civilian protection issues under the signed peace agreements of the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) since 2009.
II. PROJECT BACKGROUND
Responding to the growing concerns and threats of violent extremism amidst the pandemic, NP initiated a project called BRACE Project or Building the Resilience of women, young people, at-risk groups, and their Communities Against violent Extremism. He project is being implemented in Basilan, encompassing 3 municipalities; in Lanao del Norte, involving 3 municipalities; and in Sulu, targeting 2 municipalities.
BRACE Project is supported by the Australian Government and implemented by Nonviolent Peaceforce in partnership with a local organization, Balay Rehabilitation Center Inc.
III. OBJECTIVES
A consultant will be engaged to facilitate the development of a module, which will eventually lead to the development and packaging of a module.
Support the Balay Team in the conduct of assessment of the effectiveness of MHPSS interventions and provide recommendations.
IV. METHODOLOGY AND SCOPE OF WORK
Design a comprehensive training module that includes:

The training module must be organized so that each module stands alone and is comprehensively developed, featuring a detailed description, practical case studies, and a standardized PowerPoint presentation. Moreover, the package should encompass:
The training module will be designed to be dynamic and responsive to feedback, allowing for revisions and improvements based on implementation results and participant input. This will ensure that the training remains effective and relevant, meeting the evolving needs of our stakeholders.
VI. PREPARATION OF THE DELIVERABLES/TIMELINES AND FINANCIAL PROPOSAL
The consultant’s engagement shall be in four (4) months maximum duration from submission of proposal to final report. Target duration of the engagement is from December 18, 2024 until April 18, 2025. The activities with corresponding deliverables or outputs are the following.

VII. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTANT

VIII. EXPECTED OUTPUT
Draft and final module and manual should be submitted according to the schedule. With submitting a draft module and manual, the consultant should organize an in-person or virtual workshop and discuss on comments and suggestions of the project staff. Relevant comments should be considered in the final module and manual. Moreover, the consultant will be responsible for presenting the most significant findings to the NP and implementing partners.
IX. CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENTS
As part of the MHPSS consultancy for FVEs and their families, it is imperative to ensure that all information shared and collected through the project is treated with utmost confidentiality. Specifically, the following should be adhered to:
X. COPYRIGHT AND OWNERSHIP OF THE MODULE AND MANUAL
All documents produced under this consultancy shall be the sole property of NP and may be used for any purpose whatsoever without the need to consult with the author.
XI. PROFESSIONAL FEE AND MODE OF PAYMENT
The professional fee amounting to TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (Php 200,000.00) will be inclusive of tax and the payment will be done according to the following arrangement:
1st instalment
Amount: 20% of the total amount
Timeframe: Upon approval of study design, research tools, and study work plan
2nd instalment
Amount: 40% of the total amount
Timeframe: After submission of draft version study report
3rd instalment
Amount: 40% of the total amount
Timeframe: After completion of final study report
The payments will be made in A/C payee cheques in the name of the consultant/company.
