Description
- Plans sequence of calibration program for instruments and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and other specifications.
- Calibrates manufacturing and QA/QC equipment per schedule.
- Ensures that calibration standards are used for inspection measuring, and test equipment is in compliance with standards.
- Assists in writing and updating procedures and other related quality documentation to ensure efficiency, standardization, and accuracy.
- Prepares required documentation for the recording and notification of events or changes related to equipment such as calibration certificates, out of tolerances, and installation qualification reports.
- Coordinates with outside vendors for external calibrations and repairs.
- Reviews all calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Disassembles and reassembles instruments and equipment, using hand tools, and inspects instruments and equipment for defects
- Strict compliance to Quality Systems standards.
- Complies with Good Documentation Practices.
- Adheres to all safety policies and contributes to the achievement of safety goals & objectives.
- Provides ideas and actively participates in the implementation of written suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Effectively utilizes time, energy and resources to meet delivery goals.
- Maintains housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S principles.
- Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
- Additional duties as requested or required such as Incoming Inspection of components/raw materials final inspection of finished goods.
Qualifications
- Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) preferred or actively working towards obtaining certification.
- At least 4 years of experience in the field required.
- A High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to calculate mathematical equations such as fractions and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Demonstrated understanding of problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to run reports, and analyze data using Excel.
- Previous experience in a quality related function within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have applicable understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) and ISO 13485.
- Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job.
