Position Summary:
The HIM Tech provides clerical support along with scanning duties in the functional areas of data compilation, quantitative analysis and verification of records, maintenance of files and correspondence in the HIM Department.
The role involves evaluating medical records for completion and compliance, assigning deficiencies to appropriate staff, and monitoring data. Key responsibilities include updating documentation, assisting visitors, retrieving and logging medical records, and notifying the Director of issues. The position participates in on-call duties for record retrieval and collaborates with physicians on dictation and e-signing, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards. Additionally, it includes data entry for stillbirth records.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
