As a Senior Manager in our Consulting team in the Caribbean, you’ll need to broaden your competencies and become specialists in the areas of Performance Improvement, IT Strategy, Digital Transformation, Technology Risk, Cyber Security and Data Privacy. You’ll be performing IT audits and assessments, diagnosing issues using data and analytics, and advising clients on technology-driven solutions and new operating models to support their business and financial objectives.

  • Develop capability and IT operating models that introduce differentiated performance and

innovative ways of delivering technology 

  • Challenge IT sourcing strategies and move them from cost plays to a foundation for innovation,

scalability and flexibility

Your key responsibilities

You will focus on driving clarity in the technology direction and priorities of our clients. You will focus 

on the evaluation, design, customization and optimization of technology-driven solutions. You will team with various EY groups with specialized capabilities to pursue and deliver IT-related engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life. 

Additional core responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality IT Strategy/ IT & Digital Transformation projects, as well as IT Risk, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Analytics projects to clients within the Caribbean region 
  • Demonstrate and share insights and knowledge on leading practices in IT governance, IT risk, data privacy and cybersecurity, including leading standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 CobIT and ITIL 
  • Demonstrate strength of expertise on highly technical engagements around technology solution delivery, IT operating model design and transformation, enterprise and technology architecture design, systems implementation and integration 
  • Deliver presentations on any of the above topics to client Executives and Boards of Directors 
  • Balance client projects, new business development and practice development activities, while complying with Company’s standards 
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel as well as build strong internal relationships within EY Advisory Services and with other services across the Firm
  • Work effectively as a team member, provide coaching and mentorship, share in and provide support for project engagement responsibilities, maintain clear and concise communication, and update senior team members as necessary 
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation 
  • Develop your team and their delivery capabilities 
  • Publish thought leadership, continuously improve our methods, and help manage the firm’s risk

Skills and attributes for success

  • Developing cohesive, compelling strategic visions of how technology transforms the business models of our clients 
  • Coach leaders in client organizations in positioning the technology transformation vision and engaging stakeholders at all levels to support the proposed direction 
  • Assessing client’s technology model and identifying where to play (technology enabled value drivers) and how to win (the organization of technology capabilities) 
  • Providing broad technical and functional knowledge of various key technology and business platforms 
  • Collaborating closely with EY technology and business consulting practices to drive broad transformation programs at clients 
  • Teaming with client technology professionals, and third-party strategic alliances 
  • Identifying advisory market trends, needs at clients, pursuit strategies and working with pursuit teams in business development and pursuits 
  • Developing long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally 
  • Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
  • Flexible to work remotely and to work more than standard hours when necessary 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a business or IT related discipline, from a recognised third level institution 
  • Additional professional qualifications, such as PRINCE2®, PMP, PMBOK, SAFe or Diploma Level in Project Management or similar discipline from a recognised third level institution or accreditation body 
  • 10 or more years of related work experience within a leadership role, with demonstrated experience in delivering projects within the IT Transformation, Digital Transformation, or IT Audit spheres 
  • Experience in one or more of our focus industries including Power & Utilities, Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Tech and Media, Advanced Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 
  • Experience of one or more technology areas including but not limited to ERP, CRM. Digital Workplace, CX, Cloud Migration and/or integrations, Data & Analytics, RPA, Emerging Tech, IoT, Blockchain 
  • Experience in the establishment, training and management of teams comprised of client, contractors and client’s strategic partners 
  • Excellent communication skills – tailoring communications to suit various audiences, with the ability to translate IT strategy into measurable business benefits 
  • Have a track record of delivery within multiple large-scale technical transformation projects 
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
  • Have experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT, operating across organisational and technology silos to drive common approaches, delivering sustainable, agile and re-usable solutions 
  • Have a proven ability to be able to take a ‘big picture’ delivery and project management view as
  • well as being able to work at a detailed level across a broad range of contract types and engagement approaches
