EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full-time position

PRIMARY DUTY: The Technology Specialist – 1 with be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing hardware and software in labs, offices and the Technology Service Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Troubleshoot, repair, and install microcomputers, printers, projectors, Audio/Visual systems, wireless interfaces, tablets, and specialized input/output units
  2. Troubleshoot, install and support end user usage of microcomputer software and updates 
  3. Provide assistance in the Technology Service Center
  4. Utilize computer software imaging and deployment systems, such as MDT, Munki and SCCM/Intune
  5. Maintain mobile device management system, such as Apple school/Intune
  6. Coordinate with other functional areas of Information Technology
  7. Perform related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent and 60 hours college credit

Certification/License: Driver’s license

Experience: One to five years of experience with MS windows, MAC, or Linux and application software; customer service experience

Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will work in an office environment from the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an hour lunch break. 

EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: Computers, printers, keyboards, mice, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, general hand tools, and ladders

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and to traverse stairs, as well as occasionally work in hot and/or cold conditions
