GS-12 Specialized Experience: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Experience in evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology. In addition, project management, and serving as the lead role in overseeing the planning, installation, integration and maintenance of complex Land Mobile Radio systems and equipment is highly desirable.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary, although there is some walking, bending, lifting, crouching,
climbing and as required climbing of radio towers, etc.
Work Environment: The work is primarily performed in an office setting. The incumbent visits remote sites as part of
systems planning and evaluation activities.
