Job Purpose:

Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company’s product. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

– Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and

SMT assembly process. Know the different package types of electronic components.

– Must be able to set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including

Screen Printer, Pick and Place Machine, and Reflow Oven

– Must be able to properly maintain SMT equipment.

– Able to interpret IPC 610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.

Become IPC Certified.

– Responsible for quality of product produced on the SMT line (correct parts, polarity, etc)

– Must be familiar with and able to use hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.

– Shall maintain a neat appearance of work area to 5S standards.

– Shall practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.

– Train co-workers and assist when problems arise.

– Willing to work overtime as needed.
