position Overview
We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder to join a precision manufacturing team. This role involves welding and fabricating components for tooling, dies, fixtures, and custom projects. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, experience with stainless and aluminum, and takes pride in producing high-quality welds that meet tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Fabricate and assemble components for dies, fixtures, and production tooling.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance.
- Operate grinders, saws, and other shop tools for part prep and finishing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in TIG welding stainless and aluminum required.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic fabrication skills cutting, grinding, fitting, measuring.
- Familiarity with precision tolerances and quality inspection.
- Bonus: Experience welding for tooling or die repair environments.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work at a bench or welding station for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with machinery and fabrication equipment.
education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or welding certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
