Tool Maker – Part Time

• Expertise in manufacturing custom fixtures for CNC machining, welding and assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Skilled in precision machining techniques: milling, turning, grinding, and drilling.
• Understanding of dimensional accuracy and tolerance requirements.
• Knowledge of CNC Tool Room Vertical Mill with Siemens control a plus

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or associates degree in Tool Making, machining or related field preferred
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in fixture making with emphasis on CNC and welding fixtures
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
• Able to run manual mills, lathes and grinders. CNC machine operation knowledge a plus.
• Working knowledge of metals and material grades, specifically carbon steel.  Familiar with basic heat treatment processes
• Good organizational, verbal/written communication skills with attention to detail.
