This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.– Leading law firm providing a full range of Intellectual Property expertise and related services.– Frequently nominated for awards and top rankings in major legal directories and surveys.– Office conveniently located in Toronto’s Financial District!Duties and Responsibilities:– Provide support to professionals specializing in prosecution, opposition, and regulatory work.– Manage routine inquiries and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to, email and calendar management, preparing expense reports, and processing of accounts;– Prepare retainer letters;– Open new trademark files and preparing applications;– Manage trademark portfolios;– Respond to and follow-up with clients and the CIPO;– Perform billing responsibilities;– Prepare status reports and assist professionals with ad hoc projects;– Monitor and respond to deadlines and other time sensitive matters;– Assist IP team as required; and– Other duties as assigned.Requirements:– 1+ year’s relevant patent and trademark experience;– Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate or Law Clerk Degree;– Experience in Trademark prosecution;– Proficiency with MS Office software; (Word, Excel); and– Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Expected salary
$65000 – 75000 per year
