The Laboratory Animal Medical Services (LAMS) in the Office of Research at the University of Cincinnati (UC) is responsible for husbandry and veterinary care of all vertebrate animals on the UC campuses. LAMS is committed to providing high-quality services to meet the needs of the researchers. In addition, LAMS is responsible for assisting researchers in model development, animal usage, humane animal treatment, and compliance with University policies and procedures and governmental regulations.
LAMS is hiring a Training Coordinator to join their team. This position will train researchers and LAMS husbandry and veterinary technicians with hands-on rodent handling and techniques, peri-operative care training, and species-specific training for large animals including rabbits and pigs. This position will serve as a backup for facility orientation and new employee training. This person will also develop and expand the training program.
One (1) year of professional work experience.
