Overview
Do you have progressive field inspection experience across transportation and building projects and enjoy coordinating with contractors, agencies, and clients while keeping projects on track and well-documented?
MBP is looking for a Construction Inspector I to support field compliance, quality assurance, and documentation on active construction projects. Ideal candidates bring demonstrated growth in responsibility inspecting similar work and are ready to represent MBP in daily interactions with contractors, agencies, and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
Serve as a key MBP representative on active construction sites, verifying conformance with specifications and codes while supporting quality assurance and progress monitoring. Coordinate with agency personnel, contractors, and MBP team members to address discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Exercise sound judgment in documenting project activities and field issues that affect schedule, budget targets, and compliance. Support development of pay applications and contribute to project record strategies and reporting approaches. Work independently with guidance from senior inspectors, engineers or project leaders as scope and complexity increase. Candidates should be able to take on progressive responsibilities including:

Status: Full-time
The base hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $30.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training
