Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
- Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
- Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
- This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
- You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
Additional Duties and responsibilities:
- Interacting with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
- Enforcing client and company policies and procedures.
- Badge Compliance.
- Respond, compile and report all information in regard to theft, alarms, accidents and other incidents that may occur.
- Observe and report all unusual activity.
- Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities.
- Notify, assist and direct emergency personnel as necessary.
- Security access of authorized personnel into building including visitors and their employee sponsors, client employees and / or contractors.
- Dispatch patrol to allow access to authorized personnel for secured areas.
- Dispatch patrol to check and/ or secure access areas into and onto client’s premises, as well as, highly sensitive locations within the buildings.
- Monitor the movements and locations of all account security personnel in order to expedite service requests, emergency responses and to ensure employee safety.
- Operate telephone and radio equipment
- Prepare all required written reports, including but not limited to: Dispatch logs, Incident Reports, and all required logs.
- Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all life safety, access control and loss prevention systems and related sub-systems.
- Respond to system alarms and notifies the appropriate response resources as directed by procedure.
- Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all security telephone, paging, radio and intercom communication systems.
- Maintains and operates video surveillance system and equipment.
- Maintain 100% uptime on alarm reliability
Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Clean driving record and valid driver license
- Capable of following complex instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in the company’s screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
