Mission and objectives

UNICRI is a United Nations entity established in 1968 and mandate to assist intergovernmental, governmental and non-governmental organizations in formulating and implementing improved policies in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. The Institute strongly emphasizes action-oriented analysis and integrated technical assistance. The current priorities are justice reform, financial and emerging crimes and security governance. UNICRI, as part of the European Union’s (EU) CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative, has leveraged the expertise outlined in the Prosecutors Guide on Chemical and Biological (CB) Crimes and the Prosecutors Guide on Radiological and Nuclear (RN) Crimes to craft a comprehensive capacity-building and training package.

Context

Volunteer/s will produce video injects for future trainings and develop short videos on the completed training courses. These videos will be a part of the UNICRI Project on Strengthening the CBRN Investigation, Prosecution and Adjudication Capabilities. The expected start date of the collaboration is 14 July 2025

Task Description

We are seeking online volunteer to develop video content for the training course in one of the partner countries within the framework of the European Union’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative. 1. Creating Video Injects: • Edit a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 video injects, 1-2 minutes each, based on a real or fictitious scenario to be used during the training activities. • Ensure the video injects align with the objectives of the training course. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance. • Edit and finalize video/s injects/s to be used in training modules. 2. Creating a short video about the completed training course: • Edit a short 2–5-minute video on the completed training course on Strengthening the CBRN Investigation, Prosecution, and Adjudication Capabilities. • Ensure the video injects align with the completed training course. • Use photos, videos, and other materials from the training course. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance. 3. Review and Feedback: • Participate in review sessions and preparatory meetings to gather feedback from stakeholders. • Make necessary adjustments based on the feedback to improve the quality of the videos. 4. Collaboration and Communication: • Work closely with the training team to understand the specific needs and objectives. • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Coordinator to provide updates on progress and receive guidance.
