CONSULTANCY TITLE: Economist

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Economist for an anticipated ADB Climate and Health activity which will support development of knowledge and learning activities at the intersection of the climate and health agenda. It aims will contribute to technical and advisory support to develop an investment framework and knowledge platform that can help guide climate and health action in ADB’s member countries.
This position is subject to project award and funding.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A master’s degree (equivalent) or higher in a relevant discipline such as climate change, economics, financing, management or a related field, or comparable experience.
- At least 7 years of experience working with multilateral development banks (MDBs), development financial institutions (DFIs) and/or international financial institutions in the project financing field.
- Demonstrated experience in estimation of climate change financing of projects
- Demonstrated experience in climate change adaptation and mitigation investment assessments
- Experience in developing climate finance proposals and projects
- Excellent research acumen
- Demonstrated experience in defining, identifying, and tracking climate financing
- Experience undertaking costs and benefits analyses of climate adaptation approaches
- Previous work experience in ADB developing member countries (DMCs) is highly desirable
WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel internationally at least 25%
