Express Employment Brighton/Howell is assisting a client in Fenton, MI for a dedicated Utility Production Worker on 1st shift. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks that support production processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our products.

This is a contract to hire role through Express Employment Brighton/Howell. This client in Fenton does require an onsite interview if selected by Express Employment presentation.

1st shift: Must be open to work 6:00am – 2:30pm or 6:00am – 4:30pm. They do work 8-10 hour shifts. Monday to Friday.

Pay: $16.00 hr.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hem Saw Operation – Job travelers will be placed in the basket. Material type, size and length should be specified. Saw bar stock for Lathes & stage on their racks
• Fork Truck- Loading and Unloading trucks. Re-arranging product on the floor for Operators at the machines.
• Raw Material – Sort / Organize incoming material. Paint According to Epic color chart. Replace empty cans / refill water. Put raw material stock away in rack.
• Drill / Tap – Set up and Operator Drill & Tap Machines. Keep area clean and organized.
• Oil / Coolant / Waste Barrels – Monitor Barrels. Switch or Empty when needed. Keep stock and re-order when needed.
• End of the Day – Turn off all equipment (fans included), sweep & pick up around your area.

Additional Duties / Expectations:

• De-burring Parts
• Sandblasting
• Tumbler
• Take out Trash
• Sweep Shop Floor
• Be Knowledgeable in the machines and measuring tools currently using
• Have an understanding of procedures
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Adhere to company policies
• Pay attention to detail; consistently providing a quality product

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Own transportation and drivers license
• Pass a background check and drug test
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Good attendance
• Can work with a team or independent
• Onboard with the Express Employment Brighton/Howell office if selected for position
