position Title: Production Technician – Casting & Finishing

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.00/hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Technician to support our casting and finishing operations. This hands-on role involves cleaning and preparing equipment, sandblasting and painting metal parts, demolding cured urethane parts, and assisting with general production and warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and comfortable working with heat, sharp tools, and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean Buckets: Remove cured urethane from casting buckets, scrape residual material, wipe clean, and use air gun to prepare for reuse
• Sandblast: Operate sandblast cabinet to clean and prepare small to medium-sized steel and aluminum parts
• Paint: Apply bonding agents to sandblasted metal to prepare surfaces for urethane adhesion
• Demold Cured Parts: Remove cured parts from molds, sometimes requiring moderate strength to separate mold components
• Miscellaneous Production Tasks:
  • Box and prepare shipments
  • Stock raw materials and organize inventory
  • Assist in moving molds and assembling shelving in storage areas
  • Dispose of scrap and trash safely

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable using sharp blades safely
• Proficient in using personal protective equipment (heat-resistant gloves, eyewear, ear protection)
• experience safely working with hot equipment such as hot tables and commercial ovens
• Fluent in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in a production environment with heat, dust, and industrial noise
