| Overview of position | Within the Regional Framework for the Arab States 2023-2028, and under the overall guidance of the Regional Representative for the Middle East and North Africa, the UNODC program office in Libya is implementing the programme ‘Developing Juvenile Justice in Libya’ together with our client and UNICEF. This joint programme combines the strengths of the participating UN organizations our client, UNICEF and UNODC in an effort to support the national authorities to promote a child-friendly justice system for children in contact with the law, including those deprived of their liberty, within the framework of the UN Child Rights Convention (CRC) and other relevant international and national legal instruments. Within the framework of this joint programme, UNODC is supporting the national authorities with improving detention conditions for juveniles and promoting a child-friendly justice system in Libya, including through capacity building of staff working with juveniles and strengthening rehabilitation and reintegration programmes for children in conflict with the law. |
| Role objectives | The rehabilitation and reintegration specialistwill work under the overall guidance and supervision of the UNODC project officer, and together with social solidarity fund in Tripoli. rehabilitation and reintegration specialistwill assist in the implementation of the projects’ activities, and specifically will : • Plan and implement rehabilitation and reintegration field activities, including “life skills programmes, PSS activities, awareness raising, and vocational trainings.”. • Conduct capacity building activities to social workers working inside juvenile facilities in Tripoli and Benghazi. • Design awareness sessions adapted to Juveniles context. • Contribute to the development/revision of materials already developed • Compile report on weekly and monthly basis as requested by project schedule • Prepare field reports, and file relevant documents. • Coordinate with the project team in order to properly document activities(Photos, small videos…) aligned with the donor’s requirements and communication guidelines. • Responsible for promoting the participation of juveniles in events, education, training and awareness raising activities. • Perform any other relevant duties as required. |

| Further information | • Demonstrated work experience in PSS prevention and response programming is required • Experience in awareness raising activities lifeskills activities, recreational activities is required. • Experience in implementing capacity building activities is desirable. • Fluency in Arabic Language is required. |
