We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vending Technician / Service Representative to set up, program, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial vending machines for tools and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) products. This role requires strong technical skills, inventory management, and customer service expertise. You will be the go-to contact for service calls, product replenishment, and customer support across your assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and troubleshoot tool & MRO industrial vending machines at customer sites.
- Answer and respond to multiple service calls daily; create and log detailed service tickets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for each machine using remote data and in-person checks.
- Respond quickly and effectively to customer requests for product replenishment and new inventory lines in their VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) programs.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule: pick, load, pack, wrap, label, and ship.
- Receive, sort, and stock materials/items on racks, shelves, or bins following company standards.
- Communicate with all customer personnel in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Work closely with Field Sales, Sales Managers, and VMI Managers to align with customer expectations and improve service delivery.
- Assist with additional duties and projects as needed to support operations and customer needs.
- Uphold departmental efficiency while supporting ongoing improvements in process and service.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older (required to operate company vehicle).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong technical aptitude for vending machine hardware/software troubleshooting and setup.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and complete work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and work in warehouse/customer environments.
- Previous experience in VMI, vending systems, or tool/MRO supply environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic inventory systems and handheld scanners is a plus.
