Saïd Business School’s Estates department is seeking a dedicated Venue Support Assistant to be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This is an opportunity to become an essential part of the Operations, Facilities and Technical Teams, contributing to the success of the School’s activities and maintaining an exceptional standard of service.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and movement of furniture, equipment and teaching resources across the building.
- Respond swiftly to any operational or facilities-related issues and assist with minor maintenance tasks.
- Provide top-notch customer service to all visitors and building users, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
- Contribute to the upkeep of external areas, including litter collection, sweeping leaves, salting paths and snow clearing.
- Serve as a Fire Marshal and Emergency First Aider, helping ensure the safety and well-being of everyone on-site.
You should have strong communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Physical capability to move and lift furniture and packages is necessary, as is either possessing or a willingness to obtain a first aid certificate. Training for roles like Fire Marshal and evacuation operative is also expected.
