Position Summary:

As the Vice President of International Survivor Care, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the organization’s survivor care strategy to support survivors of sex trafficking on their journey to recovery in our international locations. This leadership position requires a dynamic and empathetic professional with a strong background in capacity building, survivor care services, program development, and a commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of survivors. This position is instrumental in leading our efforts to provide comprehensive services to survivors of sex trafficking on a global scale. This position reports the SVP, Survivor Care and will be based in one of the international offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a global survivor care strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Provide leadership to the survivor care team, setting goals, and ensuring the effective implementation of survivor care programs.
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of survivor care programs and budgets to meet the diverse needs of survivors globally.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with survivor care organizations, NGOs, and government agencies globally with a focus on capacity building.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors and their operations team to develop comprehensive survivor care networks in key regions.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of survivor care professionals.
  • Foster a culture of empathy, resilience, and continuous improvement within the survivor care team.
  • Ensure the survivor care team is utilizing assessments that define clear objectives, identify potential risks, determine appropriate evaluation methods, and develop relevant questions and tasks to measure the intended purpose.
  • Collaborate with the development team to secure funding for survivor care programs through grants, donations, and partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors and funding organizations to ensure sustained support for survivor care initiatives.
  • Ensure survivor care services are provided legally and ethically with an understanding of liability issues.
  • Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of survivor care programs.
  • Regularly review and analyze program outcomes, making data-driven decisions to enhance the effectiveness of survivor care services.
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and collaborations related to survivor care.
  • Advocate for survivor rights and survivor care needs on a global scale.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to survivor care services.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on survivor care activities for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on international guidelines and requirements for all personnel working with survivors of human trafficking.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in survivor care services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of global issues related to sex trafficking and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Proven experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Preferably bilingual with a minimum level 2 based on the US State Department Foreign Language scale to speak and read Spanish and/or Thai.
  • Demonstrated success in resource mobilization and grant management.
  • Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and survivor-centered care.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Requirements:

  • Actively advocates for self-care and commits to the personal therapeutic requirement of at least twice per month.
  • Follow survivor care procedures and boundaries for interacting with survivors.
