This new Group represents 150,000 talented individuals across more than 40 countries.The Faurecia IRYStec team is composed of software & hardware engineers, as well as image processing and AI researchers, who work collaboratively. Our software solutions encompass multiple platforms such as GPU, embedded systems, PC, and cloud architectures. We are also engaged in implementing our solutions into FPGA and ASIC devices.Innovation is part of our DNA; we demonstrate every year new Proof of Concepts at major industry conferences and Tradeshows.Job DescriptionThe role of an IT Technician is to support the assigned facility in the daily operations of IT related issues at an automotive based environment. In addition to these duties, this position is also in charge of IT migration of an existing startup into the head company IT infrastructure. The responsibilities for this position include:What you will do:

• Deploy, install, configure, test and support Windows client and server software/systems
• Research, evaluate, plan, and support Windows deployment strategies
• Ensure hardware, software and operating systems conform with organizational standards and policies
• Provide general desktop support for PCs, laptops and servers
• Disaster recovery planning and testing
• While maintaining the assigned facility, must be able to escalate problems within the IT organization quickly
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of policies and procedures
• As the only IT technician for a local site, take ownership of all IT projects in the site, in tight collaboration with US colleagues from Detroit office

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Windows Systems administrator experience (including non-profit work)
• Strong knowledge of UNIX based systems, especially the Linux operating system
• Knowledge of Windows based enterprise software
• Knowledge of VMware solutions
• Familiarity of Cisco based technology is a plus
• Provide excellent customer service and end-user support
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills is a must
• Be able to work and communicate and in a multi-cultural environment
• Must be willing to work occasional weekends or off-peak hours to support upgrade scenarios or production outage situation
