Vital Records Representative – Health Information Management – FTE – Onsite – Days

Job Description

SUMMARY 

The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy, in speaking with patients, families, and the general public in order to maintain sound public relations. The Vital Records Representative processes live birth certificates, fetal deaths certificates, and maintain the associated logs.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience in a general or customer service related field
• Good interpersonal skills, including good telephone etiquette
• Excellent data entry skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the content of the medical record
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers
