Objective
The primary objective of this ToR is to engage highly skilled volunteers who can contribute their expertise to Allscope’s fundraising and partnership-building efforts. Volunteers will play a crucial role in securing grants, forging strategic alliances, and enhancing Allscope’s technical proposal writing capacity. Successful collaborations will be formalized through structured agreements, outlining roles, responsibilities, and potential benefits.
Scope of Work
Volunteer Networker
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with donors, INGOs, private sector actors, and philanthropists.
- Represent Allscope in networking events, donor forums, and funding roundtables.
- Develop engagement strategies to enhance Allscope’s visibility and credibility within the development and humanitarian sectors.
- Facilitate introductions between Allscope and potential funding agencies, corporate sponsors, and institutional donors.
Fundraiser
- Conduct donor mapping and develop a database of potential funding sources.
- Design and implement innovative fundraising strategies.
- Draft and submit letters of inquiry, concept notes, and funding applications to donors.
- Assist in developing financial sustainability strategies for Allscope’s programs and initiatives.
- Support relationship management with existing and prospective donors/partners.
Technical Proposal Developer
- Research and analyze donor priorities, funding trends, and proposal requirements.
- Lead and/or support the development of high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, and bids.
- Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, including log frames, budgets, and technical narratives.
- Work closely with Allscope’s technical teams to align proposals with programmatic priorities.
- Edit and refine proposals to enhance clarity, coherence, and competitiveness.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Volunteer Networker:

- Proficiency in communication tools, social media, and stakeholder engagement platforms.
Fundraiser:
- Experience in fundraising for non-profits, NGOs, or social enterprises.
- Knowledge of donor funding mechanisms, grant writing, and philanthropic giving.
- Strong analytical skills for donor intelligence gathering and proposal alignment.
- Demonstrated success in securing grants or leading fundraising initiatives.
Technical Proposal Developer:
- Proven expertise in developing competitive technical and financial proposals.
- Strong research and writing skills with experience in log frames, budgeting, and results frameworks.
- Ability to interpret donor guidelines and align proposals with funding priorities.
- Experience in humanitarian, development, and/or climate adaptation sectors is an advantage.
