Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise shop personnel and daily operations
- Maintain clean, organized shop and parts room
- Purchase and negotiate materials with vendors
- Manage parts and materials for construction and service jobs
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and pricing
- Keep shop and van inventory under 5% of revenue
- Support technicians with parts and van restocking
- Approve stock item invoices and track returns
- Coordinate receiving, inspecting, and organizing shipments
- Oversee non-stock inventory and tool management
- Track refrigerant and manage tool checkout policy
- Ensure vehicle and trailer maintenance and inspections
- Lead logistics for deliveries, pickups, and equipment handling
- Enforce safety programs and maintain safety equipment
- Assist with commodity purchasing and dispatch rotation
- Maintain commercial DOT licensing requirements
- Order and manage maintenance contract materials
- Participate in meetings and represent company at tradeshows
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Support other departments parts receiving needs
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ shop or warehouse management experience.
- Possess a team-player attitude mentality
- Must have good time management skills.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively verbally and in written form.
- Must be a proactive thinker.
- Must have computer skills to operate Microsoft Office and do data entry.
- Proficient at operating hand tools
- Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license and attain/Maintain DOT Health Card.
- Exceptional forklift skills are a must.
- Work overtime when needed to get task done.
- Provide leadership, support and direction to shop team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in operating a scissors lift
