If so, we have the perfect role for you!Aligra, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team in Tamworth. Our client specialises in the distribution of white goods and is renowned for their operational excellence and commitment to quality service delivery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless flow of warehouse operations, specifically involving the handling and wrapping of high-value white goods like refrigerators.Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective Handling and Management of White Goods:.
  • Use a heat gun to wrap white goods efficiently and securely, maintaining product integrity during shipment and storage.
  • Cleaning Duties.

Order Picking and Processing:

  • Accurately pick items for e-commerce orders and other dispatch needs, adhering to specific procedures and timelines to boost customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all picked items are correctly labelled and documented for traceability and compliance with company policies

Loading and Tipping Containers:

  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments meet the required quality and safety standards.
  • Stock Organisation and Warehouse Maintenance:
  • Execute tasks related to stocking and storing goods within the warehouse, maintaining an organised and efficient system for easy access and stock management.
  • Regularly conduct inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene Standards:

  • Maintain rigorous health and safety standards in all areas of operation.
  • Ensure that all working areas are clean and comply with hygiene regulations to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Perform general cleaning duties around the warehouse to uphold a tidy and safe workspace.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Valid certification to operate a clamp counterbalance forklift (not in-house).
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, particularly involving the use of heat guns for wrapping goods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent physical fitness, capable of heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.

Hours of Work:

  • Sunday to Thursday Rotational Shifts:
  • 06:00-14:00 one week, 14:00-22:00 the following week
  • Sunday hours are 08:00-16:00 AM, 13:00-21:00 PM shift

Expected salary

£12.76 – 15.31 per hour
