$20 – $22 p/hr Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a well-organized receiving area. This role is crucial in supporting our operations and enhancing our e-commerce capabilities. Must be able to read and write legibly and have basic math skills Responsibilities
Completes and documents production and quality paperwork; following shop procedures
Maintain accurate records of received goods and manage inventory levels using MRP systems.
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Reads shop work orders and shipping work orders and follows verbal instructions.
Packages customer orders using banders and nail guns as needed.
Load and unload packages using pallet jacks and reach trucks.
Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements and update systems accordingly.
Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments.
Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Qualifications: Must be able to read and write legibly and have basic math skills. Should know how to use a digital micrometer, digital caliper, and read a tape measure.
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Safe operation of forklift and side-loaders.
Operates jib cranes and sheet lifter as needed for material exceeding 50 lbs.
Accurately and safely pulls, moves, and re-stocks product and various supplies into and out of designated storage locations.
Tags materials for proper identification.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
Proficiency in operating pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
Must be able to read and write legibly and have basic math skills.
Should know how to use a digital micrometer, digital caliper, and read a tape measure
Familiarity with order picking processes and e-commerce logistics.
Experience using AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
