Warehouse Technician – CPA

Purpose of Role:

• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to provide warehouse services that will meet or exceed the expectations of customers.
• Load and unload trucks and store materials in various locations in the warehouse.
• Package materials into bags, boxes, super sacks, and bulk trucks.

Key Areas of Accountability:

• Material Movements – Process all material outbound shipments and inbound receiving in a timely manner. Complete and maintain appropriate records for shipping and receiving activity.
• Equipment Management – Work with Manager to plan and monitor warehouse equipment utilized in warehouse, storage, pack-off and blending operations to assure routine and non-routine maintenance is performed, as necessary.
• Material Processing – Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics Departments to timely process all requests for material packaging, bulk shipment processing, sample pack-outs and material blends.
• Material Management – Assist with annual and periodic cycle counts of inventory with Inventory Control Department. Maintain quarantined inventory area and coordinate all quarantine inventory disposition with Quality Manager and Purchasing Department.
• Other Duties as Assigned – These duties will be assigned by your supervisor and may include lawn and garden maintenance, snow removal, and building upkeep.

• Internal: Accounting Department, Administration, Billing Department, Customer Service Department, Inventory Department, IT Department, Logistics Department, Purchasing Department, and Quality Department.
• External: Carriers and Third-Party Logistics.

Knowledge / Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in warehouse and/or transportation operations.
• Proven ability to work well within a team and promote strong working relationships while maintaining a professional attitude and positive outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to adapt in an evolving environment.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proficient with basic computer software including Excel and Word.
• Must be able to pass forklift operator test.
• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Special Role Requirements:

• Must be available to work early, late or weekends, if necessary.
• Good at multitasking.

Work Environment / Conditions:

• Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise with or without the use of a private office.
• Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
