Wash Line Operator B-Shift

The Washline Operator is responsible for the washing of recycled plastic material. The Washline Operator will also be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
• Operate and maintain washline machines and proper readings of wash line area equipment.
• Empty Gaylords, extracting non-compliant material as necessary.
• Clean spin dryers and monitor washer dumping doors, ensuring a clean flow of material.
• Salvage all aspirated flake.
• Stack and bandboxes and transport them to the storage area.
• Transport materials, as needed, using a tow motor.
• Keep accurate records of material processed, and from which location it came.
• Empty hoppers of discharge from the trash augers.
• Perform cleanup of entire wash line as outlined in the Product Change List.
• Maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Basic mathematical skills.
• One to three years experience is also required.
