Essential Responsibilities 

• Responsible for the fabrication and joining of metal parts in an aerospace environment using Tig/Mig welding techniques.

• Create quality welds according to provided routers.

• Ensure all equipment is properly set up & used in safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.

• Diagnose & troubleshoot equipment that affects quality, productivity, or safety.

• Inspect and identify weld imperfections.

• Identify weld wire and electrode identifiers.

• Read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings.

• Adhere to standards and procedures regarding traceability.

• Ability to read and understand instructions for quality and safety.

 
Qualifications and experience 

• High School degree or equivalent

• 1-year professional work experience and/or training

• Proficiency in understanding and recognizing weld symbols with basic understanding of welding terminology

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

• AWS D17.1 qualified on one or two basic materials (e.g., stainless or aluminum).

• Can perform tack welds and basic fusion welds under supervision.
