Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

This role operates within a steel bending and fabrication metal shop, primarily focusing on structural steel projects using carbon steel. Occasionally, you will engage in projects involving different metals and welding processes. We seek a MIG and TIG welder interested in a long-term position with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using MIG and TIG processes on various metals.
• Collaborate on structural steel projects, ensuring precision and quality.
• Interpret and work from blueprints to execute fabrication tasks.
• Utilize shears, grinders, and torches efficiently in the shop.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and adhere to AWS guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding with 3+ years of experience.
• Ability to perform basic shop tasks in an industrial metal setting.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of or ability to obtain 6g Certification.
• Willingness to join Local 516 Union after 180 days of employment.

Work Environment

This position operates within an industrial metal bending and fabrication shop. The day shift runs from either 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The environment includes weld testing in overhead, horizontal, vertical, and flat positions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $32.00/hr.
