QUICK SUMMARY:
The Welder Level II supports on-time production in a fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment by performing high-quality welding and fabrication with minimal supervision. This role works with a variety of materials and welding methods while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform TIG, MIG, and spot welding on carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Weld material thicknesses ranging from .050″ to .250″
- Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate weldments
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for various jobs
- Grind and finish welds per print requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and fabricate weldments independently
- Experience welding multiple materials and thicknesses
