Job Description:
Procurement & Supply Chain Portfolio Management
- Execute the entire procurement cycle from purchase request to goods receipt and reverse logistics while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and transparency.
- Review and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) through the Supply Chain Automation and Integration (SCAI) platform or other authorized systems.
- Lead sourcing activities including preparation of solicitation documents, communication with potential suppliers, documentation collation, and submission of vendor recommendations to relevant authorities or the Purchase Committee.
- Ensure all procurement bidding requirements are met for assigned purchase requests, including quotation registration, sealed bid submission, and sample verification reports.
- Promote and expand category-based Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) at the local level, guided by the annual procurement plan and sourcing strategy.
- Develop and regularly update a commodity catalogue for goods, works, and services procured by WVI Nepal and its Partner NGOs.
- Establish and maintain a pre-qualified supplier database to ensure reliable sourcing and value for money.

- Foster positive supplier relationships while upholding WVI Nepal’s core values, ethics, and procurement principles.
- Conduct market trend analyses to inform strategic sourcing decisions and adapt to changing business environments.
- Contribute to capacity building of Partner NGOs to strengthen compliance, enhance procurement skills, and promote strategic sourcing practices.
Risk Management, Compliance/Review & Support
- Ensure the Block Party Screening (BPS) before the process of procurement as per WVI Nepal Procurement manual.
- Conduct Supplier Orientation working with NGO Partners
- Managing contracting and evaluating the effective implementation according to agreed terms and conditions
- Support to mitigate the SCM risk and establish the control to improve the existing process and practice.
- Occasional field visits to monitor PNGO and implementing area to ensure the fair distribution.
- Assist to increase the cost savings through healthy negotiation and ensure to effective and efficient service and fast and flexible.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and submit periodic updates on procurement status, including PR tracking, purchase order progress, and contract implementation summaries for the Supply Chain Management & Admin Coordinator.
- Report on the status of procurement documentation, highlighting compliance with standard procedures, use of approved templates, and areas requiring follow-up or corrective action.
- Compile and share reports on supplier performance, market trends, and pricing updates to support strategic sourcing and informed decision-making.
Required Professional Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in the field of procurement and supply chain management
- At least three years of professional experience in the field of humanitarian and development work.
Required Education, training, license, registration and certification
Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Sound understanding of procurement and supply chain management principles and practices.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet tools).
- Excellent command of both English and Nepali languages, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to articulate and present ideas clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Practical experience and applied knowledge in procurement and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with global supply chain standards, financial systems, and procedural requirements.
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize digital platforms and technologies
