Detailed Description:
The Division of Student Affairs is committed to grounding our policies, programs, and procedures in antiracist practice. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Assistant Director is responsible for the management of the University’s student conduct process. This includes collaborating with Public Safety and Campus Life, serving as the primary campus leader for Maxient, (Conduct database) training, and communicating the student conduct code policies and procedures to the Campus community. They will work with the Coordinator for Restorative Justice to adjudicate student conduct cases and oversee and train hearing boards. The Assistant Director is responsible for evaluating the conduct process and recommending policy changes to the Associate Dean. They will work closely with the Coordinator for to review on and off-campus conduct referrals, communicate with parents and guardians regarding student behavior, as appropriate, and oversee the management of the Maxient student conduct database. Responsible for staying abreast of legal and other matters in higher education relevant to student conduct, including Title IX policies and informing the Associate Dean of Students when updates are needed. Using data from a variety of sources, the Assistant Director is responsible for creating, revising, and/or retiring programs and offerings to ensure alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan and the Thriving Student Model.
Periodically, this position may be asked to lead or contribute to either ad hoc or ongoing division/campus projects outside the scope of their day-to-day activities

Posting Salary:
$6,000 – $6,200 per month; Excellent Benefits

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
