London College of Contemporary Music (LCCM) is seeking an Associate Dean of Learning & Teaching to play a key role in enhancing the academic experience of our students and ensuring the highest quality of learning, teaching, and assessment.About the RoleAs the Associate Dean of Learning & Teaching, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to support the development and delivery of exceptional teaching practices. You will work closely with the Academic Dean to oversee curriculum development, academic staff training, and innovative teaching methodologies. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring an outstanding student experience.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support academic staff in delivering high-quality teaching, assessment, and curriculum development.
  • Implement and enhance best practices in learning, teaching, and assessment across the College.
  • Develop and oversee academic staff training and professional development.
  • Promote the use of innovative educational technologies and pedagogical techniques.
  • Stay updated with industry and academic developments and implement relevant enhancements.
  • Support student experience initiatives from pre-enrolment to alumni engagement.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and professional evaluation of academic staff.
  • Enhance and develop academic programmes in line with institutional growth plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including OfS conditions of registration.
  • Chair and participate in committees to ensure effective academic governance.

About YouWe are looking for a ideally dynamic, motivated, and experienced leader with a strong background in higher education.Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A higher degree in a relevant subject area or in higher education teaching.
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or equivalent professional recognition).
  • Experience in evaluating and improving higher education teaching standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive teaching and assessment improvements.
  • Strong track record of fostering collaborative relationships with academic colleagues.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Office for Students (OfS) conditions of registration for quality and student outcomes.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership, resilience, and commitment.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders to implement change and enhance the student experience.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of widening participation in higher education.
