Cable Technician
Washington, DC
Pay: $25.00 per hour

MUST:
Experienced Cable Technician
5+ years of experience
Must have experience terminating cables
CAT5e/6 experience.
BICSI Certification required
Experience identifying, installing, and repairing infrastructure cabling.
Experience in low voltage cabling
Ability to work in small spaces.
Ability to lift 40+ Lbs.
Must have basic tools, and reliable transportation.
Experience in conduit installation is a plus.
DUTIES:
Provide excellent customer service always.
Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
Pull, route, and terminate various types of cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
Perform site surveys to determine the best installation route and method.
Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 in accordance with industry standards.
Ensuring all cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled.
Installation of cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
Installation IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless, etc…
Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoot device and or cabling issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations.
