The Role
We are seeking aFloat Clinical Pharmacistto provide clinical and operational support across multiple inpatient service lines, helping ensure safe, effective, andhigh-qualitymedication use for our patients. In this role, you will applyyour broad acute care knowledgewhile developing deeper familiarity with a wide range of specialties and care environments.
On aday-to-daybasis, you will:
Provide clinical pharmacy services across avariety of acute care and inpatient practice areasbased on operational and patient care needs
Review, verify, and manage medication orders with a strong emphasis on patient safety,evidence basedpractice, and therapeutic optimization
Serve as a clinical resource to physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the care team
Identify, prevent, and resolvemedication relatedproblems for patients with complex and evolving clinical conditions
Support transitions of care through medication reconciliation, monitoring, andpatient specificrecommendations
Contribute tooperational excellencebymaintainingcontinuity of pharmacy services across units and shifts
What an average day looks like:
No two days areexactly the same. You may support a medical or surgical unit one day and transition to a different inpatient service the next, collaborating with new teams while applying consistent clinical standards. The pace isengaging and intellectually stimulating,offering exposure to a broad range of disease states, therapies, and patient needs. This variety allows float pharmacists to sharpen their clinical versatility whileremainingdeeply connected to direct patient care.

Minimum Qualifications –
Physical Demands – Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.</p>
Onboarding Requirements
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
