The Counselor provides documented individual and group clinical services and case management to clients with mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnosis problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides quality clinical services and case management to assigned clients in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical design and in compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory bodies.
Provides group treatment to clients using Spectrum curriculum and following group facilitation protocol as trained.
Performs intake assessments and completes all associated documentation within required time frames.
Demonstrates respect for supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
Consistently arrives for work on time and adheres to the program’s attendance policies.
Strictly adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for client information.
Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times in the care of the clients and the use of the facility property.
Completes all required documentation for services as required by Spectrum and all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory bodies within established time frames.
Develops, implements, and revises individual treatment plans for assigned clients in established time frames with the participation of the client.
Completes all outcome measurement tools as required by Spectrum, licensing, and payers in required time frames.
Refers clients to appropriate services in the community as necessary.
Demonstrates a satisfactory level of interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, families, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Attends regularly scheduled individual/group supervision and participates in regular staff and team meetings.
Participates in multidisciplinary team treatment planning, case review and case conferences.
Demonstrates knowledge of services and programs within Spectrum’s continuum of care and knows where to access additional information on Spectrum services and programs.
Refers clients to services using Spectrum’s continuum of care and demonstrates efforts to maximize the internal referrals within Spectrum’s continuum when appropriate.
Maintains comprehensive current clinical skills, competencies, licensure, and certification as required.
