About The Role

The Global Insurance Services Practice is looking for property casualty actuaries with 8+ years of experience. As a Director, you will be responsible for delivering actuarial services to a variety of insurance companies, corporate entities, and/or law firm clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Take a leadership role in client engagements to include pricing, reserving (including Statement of Actuarial Opinion work), due diligence, development of rating models, predictive modeling, internal controls assessments, and litigation support.
  • Interact confidently and professionally with FTI and client personnel throughout various engagements.
  • Assist with the development of proposals and participate in other business development initiatives.
  • Oversee staff in execution of actuarial services.

What You Will Need To Succeed 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field
  • Fellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (near Associates are also encouraged to apply)
  • 8+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of consulting experience
  • Experience with predictive modeling tools and languages, such as R
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
